I’ve started doing project 365 where I’m taking a photo a day for a year. It’s been six days now and I haven’t given up yet, so there’s a chance I might actually make it. I’m trying to choose pictures that are representative of what happened that day and writing a bit about it, but really, it’ll be whatever strikes my fancy. You can follow along on flickr.

Thomas Video Busted!

The other day I got email from YouTube that one of Thomas’s video’s had been flagged for song coypright violation because it used Sheryl Crow’s version of Sweet Child of Mine.

So we changed the soundtrack to a free song (that actually goes better with the video), but left the begin and end titles in place as a reminder of how sad the original version must have made poor Sheryl Crow.

We’re going through our camcorder videos and figuring out how best to use Windows Movie Maker. Here’s the first trial movie. It’s a little bit on the no-frills side, but that should change as we get use to Movie Maker.

Thomas spent his first birthday visiting Kelowna. As this picture suggests, he mostly enjoyed the trip, although he got a little stressed out in the last hour or two of the ride home.

Thomas tried ice cream for the first time on his birthday and … thought it was pretty cold, and so didn’t eat much. We’ll have to try again on birthday number 2!
